Week 3 - Making a Routine

Erica and I solidified our daily routine at the Creative Healing Center this week, although it’s starting to get a little old… I'm still enjoying our time here though.

-Monday’s are the only days that there isn’t any type of class going on, so we work in the kitchen (making “juice”, cleaning dishes, washing vegetables for the next day’s juice, making kale chips, etc.), and when we’re done with that we get to work on various other things, like updating the Facebook page and getting stuff done for the mural outside.
-On Tuesday’s we have Yoga Flow with Donna at 8:30 AM, which is always a great way to start out the day. The class is very small—Erica, me, and two other women, so Donna gives us a lot of special attention. I love that in her class we listen to some yoga music, but she also mixes in some Jack Johnson and other contemporary music that is light and playful. After yoga, we help in the kitchen until we have to leave.
-Wednesday’s we start out the morning in the kitchen and after lunch, we take Tai-Chi Qi-Gong with Sandy. Tai-Chi is not my cup of tea, so I sometimes skip out on this class and help in the kitchen instead.
-Thursday’s are my ABSOLUTE favorite day. We work in the kitchen from 8:30 until 10:50, and then we take Energizing Yoga with Esther at 11. After this yoga class, Erica and I get to spend an hour in the Far Infrared Sauna, which is relaxing.
-Friday’s we take Pilates with Bonnie. This is also a great class because Erica and I are the only students in it, so she adjusts the workout to what we want to do that day and we can always play it by ear.
