Publicity/Twelfth Night

Today I did more work on Microsoft Exel making shanges to the production schedule spreadsheet and adding deadlines for publicity. Noises Off and Hairspray are the first two shows where we've had major publicity involved, and it is still a work in progress. Over the next few shows we will be refining our process so it will become smoother and quicker. I also made a postcard template, incorporating suggested changes learned from this year's mailings. Today's other big project was reading Shakespeare's Twelfth Night as a possibility for next year. Before people start panicking, let me clarify: We are entertaining the possibility of pursuing the idea of doing a Shakespeare play next fall. While people may moan, complain, or even shriek, Shakespeare could be a viable option. We've done Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, As You Like it, and A Midsummer Night's Dream before, so it can work. Its just a question of whether we have the people and intrest to pull it off. But we will never know unless we look at it. As with all the shows we are looking at, we are simply just brainstorming. We are nowhere near a final selection. So even though we may talk about shows like Hair, Twelfth Night, or Pippin, nothing is set in stone. (Except HMS Pinafore. That is definite...)
