SORRY I MISSED THE DEADLINE

... I had horrible connection all weekend...

Proof that I've been working:

Restructured presentation:Integration of social media into the banking world
With the push towards transparency, many institutions see social media as a convenient platform to build relationships with consumers and ultimately increase their business gains. As a relatively untested business medium, this raises compelling questions of privacy and the viability of social media outlets in the banking world. Beyond direct interaction with the consumer, social media has the ability to offer new ways of researching social and economic changes through the vast amount of information posted by individual. The presentation will offer a brief over of the evolution of social media in the business world, as well as, the research resulting from this trend.

It's also proof that my Hawken education is paying off. With my mentor out of town, I've been left to flounder. Thankfully years of bs'ing has led to a confidence of sorts. Prime example being the above paragraph. I was given a very broad topic and the more research I do, the more it expands. Social media tactics are absolutely expansive, not to mention the repetitive nature of many articles I've had to wade through.

It's also extremely interesting to see the studies forming out of social media. One group of smartie pants decided to track the "mood" or twitter and the stock market. The study is in its early stages but so far has shown that the mood of us normal folk actually may be useful in predicting stock market trends in the future. They're trying to come up with algorithms and other formulas, I didn't learn about in math, to figure it all out.

Here's the article: http://arxis.org/PS_cache/arxiv/pdf/1010/1010.3003v1.pdf
Its actually pretty interesting and EXTREMELY creepy when you think about where this technology could go.

3 additional posts this week Senora! I promise! (insert endearing spanish phase here)
