Sadly, today was my last day at Village Prep. In the morning, Lindsay and I finally finished making all of the print environment for the second grade classrooms next year. We laminated all of the finished posters and cut a few more items. We also created 114 paper books for the students to take home for the summer. The students are supposed to read these books and then take them to the library so they can find other books that are of a similar reading level. We ended our day by watching and helping out with a character development class.

When we were getting ready to leave this adorable boy named Josiah ran up to Lindsay and I and gave us both huge hugs. We explained that it was our last day and he began to pout. He whined, “But you just got here. I don’t want you to go yet.” There are so many other cute, smart children at Village prep, I am so sad that I won’t be spending much more time with them. I am going to miss them and I definitely plan on visiting them sometime soon.
